Ninjaman Speaks From The Heart On Recent Developments

ninjamanRangers. Never a dull moment being a Rangers supporter is there?

In a week where we should be enjoying the fact that Mark Warburton’s team is top of the Championship; playing fast flowing, exciting football, beating teams with a conviction we haven’t seen in years, the chaos that’s surrounded us for years goes and rears its ugly head again.

Charles Green, Craig Whyte, David Whitehouse and Paul Clark have been arrested and charged with offences in regards to the takeover of the club at the time of liquidation. Serious offences.

The legal implications of this won’t be fully understood for some time yet but suffice to say that the offences these men have been charged with are very serious indeed.

The ramifications for Rangers and the club’s supporters are enormous. The old company’s shareholders and creditors will be watching events with a keen eye.

What does the future hold?

Well, in the short term I’d think nothing much will change. The team will get on with the challenge of winning games and trying to get promoted.

The supporters in the main will get on with enjoying watching a new team playing a brand of football that’s nice on the eye, entertaining and exciting to watch.

The board, well I would think this will weigh heavy on any aspirations they have in terms of progressing the club in the short term but I’m sure they are/were fully aware of the proceedings this week.

How will the club move on from here – will there be an issue with who owns the assets?

Will there be a listing on an exchange? Which was promised months ago.

Do you know what? I’ve harped on about the promised invesent from Dave King, wanted to know when he was going to fulfil his end of the co-investors deal he asked us to buy into.

Can’t really blame him for holding off, can you? If he’s known about the upcoming police arrests and charges then it would be naive to throw a pile of money at a business that’s got this kind of turmoil hanging over it. My only question would be, why say you will invest then six months down the line there’s an admission that season ticket cash has been built up for a listing?

We don’t actually know much at all, apart from the charges against them. This is what concerns me here.

I’ve been getting conflicting opinions on what these developments could mean for the club, some of it is very confusing.

I’ve heard some say it has no relevance to the club as it stands right now but I’ve had other well informed people suggest to me that this could have dire consequences for Rangers.

This is a nightmare I just want to wake up from. Let’s be clear here, anyone breaking the law deserves to face justice, no matter who it is. That’s a given, whether it’s Charles Green or Whyte. If they’ve broken the law then they deserve whatever the law throws at them.

The bitter battle for control of the club has seen many casualties. A lot of us backed Charles Green and Sandy Easdale. I noticed one or two prominent and high profile Rangers supporters having a go at those that did. Is it not time to find some common ground now of all times?

What’s the point in calling people names? Attacking people because they said until anything was proven they’d back the team and club regardless? Some seem to want the rest of us to suffer, it’s just comes across as having a chip on your shoulder.

People back the wrong horse sometimes, other times we make mistakes. It’s life and no one is infallible, but forgiveness and understanding among your own should be a given. We have been through so much, is it possible for a little bit of peace on that front?

I’ve made mistakes and I’ve taken people at their word, that’s how I live, I make no apologies for it nor do I hide or shy away from the errors I’ve made in my life but we need to realise here what we are about to face.

This is the time for our supporters to find unity. It’s there at the ground. Everybody is loving what’s happening on the playing side but as for events off the field, this news this week was inevitable. For some, sadly, it just seems like an opportunity to alienate a section of the support, just because we didn’t back Dave King’s bid to gain power at the club.

Six months down the line and we still haven’t seen any of his money so I’d suggest we were right to be apprehensive. Whether some like that or not is of no concern to me, at the end of the day I’m a Rangers supporter and always will be. I’ve just had my fill of it with the online bitterness.

We are at a crossroads, another one. What’s happened this week is as huge as 2012, for me. The unity we showed then is required now and for years to come. This will be a long, protracted case.

The asset transfer is essentially what it’s all about. My hunch is the club should have nothing much to worry about in terms of ownership from what I’ve heard. It’s what I haven’t heard about that’ll worry me until this has finally ended.

I hope the board have a contingency plan, the hint is that there’s internal investment on its way via the Blue Knights consortium and others.

Rumour has it that there’s a couple of seven figure investments and a number of six figure sums coming in.

It really is time for leadership here. Can someone explain how long those kind of investments are going to last?

The conclusive consensus is that there will be no possibility of a listing on any exchange due to what’s happened this week.

A rights issue will come but can only generate a fraction of what’s required. Have the board known these arrests were in the pipeline?

After being done like a kipper by Sir David Murray, then strangled by Craig Whyte we now have Charles Green and his tenure under scrutiny. Yet our board say nothing?

Why not? Should our board not be out assuring the fans? Even just a statement saying they’re aware of what’s going on and being kept up to speed by Police Scotland?

The silence is deafening. Leadership, honesty and clarity on a number of issues is required, surely that’s not too much to ask for?

Transparency was the buzzword last year; it should’ve been our mantra for years now and it must be our cause for years to come. Again, after all that this club and its supporters have been through we must be vigilant and suspicious of everything.

We’ve been rag dolled from pillar to post. We’ve been thrown about like an empty track suit and devoured like a tramp eating chips. We must stop believing everything our boards and owners tell us.

Twenty odd years of being taken for a ride and I for one have had enough. I really don’t care if people don’t like the fact we at the RSL ask valid and pertinent questions. We are Rangers supporters who love our club as much as anyone else, and that’s a fact.

There’s some incredible contributors on this site, people prepared to stand up and be critical if they feel that criticism’s deserved. Why would we not?

Intelligent, articulate debate is what you’ll find on here. We take some stick from some for not towing the party line but we are fair and open minded, never scared to admit that we don’t have all the answers.

The amount of people we speak to that say this is the only Rangers site they’ll come on to for factual information is a lovely compliment. We hear it from Rangers fans, obviously, but we get told by fans of other clubs also that what we do is rise above the nonsense and keep it real.

We continue to speak for our members, and we shall always try to get to the bottom of the truth of the issues or stories of interest.

We may be attacked by some but we know the majority of the country’s football fans are reading with interest. Thanks to all.

  1. Steerpike,
You keep deflecting back to previous Boards or incumbents and I have yet to hear you extoll the virtues of King. Nevertheless taking you post as is here is a couple of questions for you:

    1) Can you post some of the dirt about previous incumbents that compare to the numerous concerns expressed on this site concerning King.
    2) Regarding Investors and the options they have since King entered the Boardroom. What are they assuming they are unhappy with his governance?
    3) These loans currently being afforded to us. Can you point me in the direction of where it is written in stone that they will be converted to equity?

I am not having a go at you. I believe in genuine debate and putting all the facts on the table so that a reasonable conclusion can be reached. What I think I am reading from you is not factual but a revision of King’s history as re-written by Level 5 specifically designed to conceal the truth. For example you side with King because he is the “lesser of two evils.” Tell me who the other evil is and how their business and criminal history compares to Kings. You seem to set your sights rather low when using that as your motivation and in doing so you will achieve the expected outcome – mediocrity.

    1. Afternoon moegoe, i have no reason to deflect, i simply pointed out the obvious, for good or ill DK has the the support of investors, the majority of shareholders and the fans, not sure i would call this a virtue or level 5 propaganda or concealing the truth. If you have evidence to the contrary then i am quite prepared to change my mind.

      As to your questions:

      1. To my mind ” dirt ” is an action that is not in the best interests of Rangers, and the action that started this fiasco was MA’s decision to remove his 2.5 million credit facility and refuse access to any early RR dividends in early 2014,these actions created a cash flow crisis which became the catalyst for fan unrest,it was a big business mistake for whatever reason.
The next MA mistake was to oust GW/PN and reject DK’s offer without first checking with the SFA if he could increase his shareholding, proof of this error was the mass exodus of institutional investor support including a Board member.
I won’t mention a retail contract that seemed to offer little to Rangers except in the sense it highlighted MA’s priorities, hardly an inspiration to those who saw Rangers as the priority not SD.
Finally his lack of action in not communicating his intentions to the fans was a huge mistake, just a PR disaster in my view.

The dirt on DK is minimal, his actions in SA did not harm Rangers, and DK did not force fans to stop buying tickets or merchandise,i would not dream of accusing all fans of being blind sheep, i knew some who gave up for footballing reasons,it was dire.

      2. Sorry, can you rephrase this i am not sure of your point, there is no evidence whatsoever that any investor is unhappy, but i accept the premise ” absence of evidence is not evidence of absence “.

      3. I am not privy to Board minutes, don’t see any reason to think they will not be converted at some stage, certainly doesn’t seem to bother those who have supplied interest free and unsecured loans.

I may be indeed be setting my sights low but realistically my choices are limited, the thought of returning to MA makes no business sense whatsoever.

I do not accept the principle of absolute morality, humans are flawed and morality is relative, for this reason i am a great believer in forgiveness and redemption, one minute SDM is ending bigoted employment practices, the next he is gambling on dodgy tax avoidance schemes, nobody is perfect.

This is a bit of an eye opener for me,i have spent the last 3 years arguing on Celtic blogs against the obsessed, seems a bit odd debating Rangers fans.

      All good fun.

  2. I have no reason to doubt Matt Lindsay as I’m sure he has Level 5 on speed dial. However I would take serious issue with the notion that our career criminal chairman is travelling, at our expense, from South Africa to negotiate a pay off for Mr McCoist. Mr McCoist earns £825,000 per annum. He is paid on the 26th of each month, with four payroll runs prior to contract termination in December. If we exclude employer NI contributions, this is a mere £275,000. Now I realize that it’s important to give the impression that our shyster board are fully engaged in cutting costs and that every small win must be spun to maximum effect by Level 5, but surely our pro bono chairman Paul Murray has conference call facilities in his office and that Mr King could be patched in, if required, to engage in negotiations.

The true narrative is more likely to be that a deal has already been brokered with Mr McCoist and that Mr King is ‘jetting in’ with an objective of raising funds from his co-investors. The deficit is beginning to bite.

I do not accept that well-heeled Rangers fans will be paving King’s path with rose petals and red envelopes. I’m much more persuaded by a creatively packaged equity release of 27p (1p) ordinary shares. It will be an unlisted equity release, with a vague promise of an ISDX exchange in the new year. King and Peterhouse/JP Jenkins will ask the co-investors to buy as many shares as possible to show their support for their board of Real Rangers Men who have kept all their promises and delivered winning football to Ibrox. As to who will underwrite this over the counter offer, don’t expect King to step up to the plate. The former board raised £3m at this time last year. The fact that these shares were backed by an exchange will be quickly forgotten as he aspires to raise a significantly higher sum.

King and Peterhouse/JP Jemkins have had six months to work out how they can offer 40m shares, which if fully subscribed would represent 33% of all equity in RIFC, and still retain a controlling interest in the company. I fully expect the first 16.66m shares to be delivered as payment in kind for the £4.5m in loans. I would not be surprised if these were preferential shares. Which leaves £6.3m, which after fees would probably deliver £5m to the shyster board.

Of course this will not be enough, but if Peterhouse/JP Jenkins can arrange the listing next year, there will be more equity up for grabs when the disapplication of pre-emption resolution is rescinded at the next AGM.

There could be other reasons for King’s visit. I can guarantee it’s not just to sit down with Mr McCoist

    1. Dave King and Mark Warburton have met , in photo together of armed forces day this Saturday. So king in town.

    2. When it comes to controversial statements, no-one does it better than our career criminal chairman. However his latest beggars belief. Apparently the last few years have been a blip, a kink in the road, and it’s now time to reclaim the ‘traditional’ Rangers that entered liquidation in October 2012. According to the G&SL, the jibes that we are a new club are just too much to bear, therefore he is going to address this by transferring the assets held in The Rangers Football Club plc to Rangers 2012plc which reading between the lines is the real Rangers.

King goes further by suggesting an offer of 50-60p in the pound to the old creditors, which of course includes his very own £20m, to rescue the real, traditional Rangers, before it’s too late. Now I can see the attraction for King in this incredible scheme as he would pocket a minimum of £10m, but where is the £39.3m going to come from to pay the creditors half of what they are owed, then pay BDO their fees of £18m. The latter would not be subject to negotiation. Therefore a mere £57.3m would be required. Not quite, as Sports Direct Retail Ltd would require their £5m to allow the transfer, so we arrive, best case scenario, at £62.3m.

We can deduct the Collyer Bristow payment of £24m from what is required, so only £38.3m. Let’s assume that HMRC would be prepared to withdraw from their Big Tax Case appeal on payment of half of what they are currently owed.

Did Dave King work this out on a napkin from his First Class British Airways cabin? Of course King won’t be footing the £10,000 bill. We will.

This underfunded hostile takeover has now entered the realms of fantasy. Everyone knows that King lies faster than a sneeze, but is he really this stupid? What about the current shareholders of RIFC? Are they going to sit back and watch the assets transferred to another company? How will Rangers First and the RST feel about knowing they own a collective 11% in nothing?

Of course our supine SMSM did not question why King’s consortium could not pay off SD’s £5m, but can now find a minimum of £38.3m. Now if we are to believe some speculation, Paul Murray has been attempting to raise some external funding to ensure solvency. A very difficult task when all but the stadium is encumbered. However what King is proposing is venture capital. The beauty of this scheme is the King pay off of £10m.

Now there are a few small, let’s call them cobwebs, to address such as Whyte’s floating charge of £25m , which BDO is currently contesting at the Court of Session. Would any venture capitalist steering committee sign off on £40m when a £25m claim is currently being contested at The Court of Session? There is no possibility whatsoever.

Is King experiencing the early onset of dementia or are we currently at the starting blocks of a scam of epic proportions?

With 50,000 fans turning up at home games, what Dave King is saying is that the current Rangers is not the real Rangers. He is effectively saying that we are a new club and that we must ‘revive’ the old club before it’s too late. The onerous contracts would be null and void and our history as the most decorated club in world football would no longer be questioned. The SFA would be accommodating and transfer the membership of TRFCL as they are always deferential to the blue pound.

Craig Houston has bought into this outrageous statement and is looking at suing the SPFL for £40m

Mr Houston had better hope that King has raised £40m, because if he is just lying again he is doing more damage to us than the sum total of our detractors.

      1. This underfunded hostile takeover??

As against an underfunded Rangers under MA,or do loans not count when they come from MA?

Scepticism is all good and well but you are overdosing into blatant cognitive bias.

“The SFA would be accommodating and transfer the membership of TRFCL as they are always deferential to the blue pound.”

        Is that you Phil?

        1. You are correct in only one of your assertions. Sports Direct’s £5m loan clearly does not count to the shyster board and no questions on King’s lack of investment was ventured by the assembled hacks. The term you were looking for is ‘cognitive dissonance’ which with your last question might be better posed to your mirror.

          1. Is it actually possible to stop liquidation process once it starts….? For once no idea on this and google does not supply an answer….? IS this something that can happen in SA and not UK?

John you do have tendancy to echo other blogger phrases and praise them rather alarmingly – which is a bit odd, but even pzj reads that bloggers site and posts quotes from him…. so strange days indeed.

King said well funded till end of season, then until end of year…. two different dates entirely. Wish he was more consistent as otherwise appears he making it up as he goes – e.g. Hibs approach us first over Allan, where they say they took first approach from us as you would expect…. , Glad celtic have Allan?? – but we will win league even if Hibs had him, they develop him and make more money.?

            Jet lag?

            1. I am not here to defend DK but until i hear some negative voices from other Board members then i assume the investment will happen and he is keeping to his word.
Losing out to Celtic but making Hibs weaker is every cloud has a silver lining piece of fluff.
It is possible to stop liquidation if the creditors agree, and they may agree if they are offered more than liquidation.

I can understand the reasons behind DK’s intentions to get the oldco back, there is no doubt the club sale is on shaky legal grounds which cannot be tested, but there is also no doubt the sale and transfer broke no SFA rules, and like preferred football creditors, rules take precedent over legal technicalities .
If Rangers are technically dead then technically no insolvent cub should ever have paid back their football debts, but they all did and no one screams foul or illegality.

I think my general point is trust the Board until there is evidence to the contrary, and the gossip of Phil too many names to mention is hardly evidence in my book.

          2. No need to get frothy Phil, nothing inconsistent in my post,Rangers were underfunded under MA…yes or no?

As for DK’s investment,he was asked and responded, you want to believe it won’t happen which is cognitive bias in spades.

Shyster Board??………..compared to the previous carpetbaggers??

Nah,i aint buying it,you protest too much.

            1. I’ll go with your cognitive bias for the moment concerning King’s proposed investment which at the top end was £30 million. There is plenty evidence freely available on the internet concerning King’s business history and SARS case as well as numerous opinions from well respected South African Financial people and hard evidence in the lack of Institutional Investor interest in Micromega Holdings. When you accuse JJ of cognitive bias you are in effect saying he has no rationality in his judgement and his inferences are drawn in illogical fashion. To support your view then you will have counter information that confirms King is a respected South African businessman and will indeed invest up to £30 million in Rangers. Like most others I would be very interested to see this evidence. Perhaps you can start with convincing me that King does indeed have £30 million available and where that money is. Perhaps you can discuss the esteem in which he is held in South Africa and in particular amongst the business community.
Forget about MA and previous Boards and lets confine the discussion to King’s apparent wealth, business standing and promised investment in Rangers. I look forward to your response.

              1. Sme excellent points, just the kind of things i would expect the 3 bears to ask,now my position is simple,i do not know, you do not know but the 3 bears do know the answers to your questions, and that is my reason for believing DK has the dosh.
I trust the 3 bears or do you suspect them for being glib and shameless?

              2. Explain to me how you come to the conclusion that the 3 Bears know, please

              3. Steerpike,
So the thrust of your position is you have an expectation the 3 Bears would know the answer to my questions. Lets assume King does indeed have £30 million. Unless he is in breach of his Plea Bargain then the money has to be in South Africa. SAR 600 million is more than the Market capitalisation of his business of which he owns approx. 85%. Don’t you find it rather strange that any businessman would have SAR 600 million lying around in liquid assets particularly as this is more than 5 times the original money he made from SOL and that SARS recently relieved him of £44 million? Then there is the whole question of Exchange Control regulations in South Africa which would exclude King from transferring such an amount offshore without Reserve Bank approval. Now why would they do that when they ordered him to close all offshore accounts and repatriate any balances to South Africa? Does it not bother you that no Institutional Investor in South Africa will touch King with a barge pole or that Financial Journos openly write in South African Newspapers that he is a fraudster? You raised the judgement from a respected Judge and two assessors. Did the 3 Bears not heed his words and take King on trust or is he just a front for them or someone else? So many questions Steerpike and given our previous every reason why nobody should ever again be taken on trust. Especially when that person is a convicted criminal and has been charged on numerous occasions with fraud, racketeering etc. Control is better than trust my friend and every Rangers fan should be asking questions of King particularly since he has not kept to ONE promise he made in the last two years.

              4. Again, way too much sense

King disciples’ eyes will be bleeding reading this

            2. You are a typical King acolyte. Your comments are as ill considered and ill informed as those of ‘your’ glib and shameless lying chairman. I most certainly did not vote for him. You introduce PMG to have a go at the messenger. It was a cheap shot that failed to hit the mark. But by all means please continue to post. Just like King, the more you write the more you are exposed as a fool.

      2. Isn’t it also the case that, in Mr G’s words, he didn’t have to acquire CW’s shares in the oldco, as the CVA was rejected? Therefore CW still holds 85% of the shares of the old company. Presumably DK will be happy to pay CW for them? Didn’t think so

        1. If sale is ruled fraudulent the shares do not belong to CW,maybe they revert back to SDM,maybe some one is looking for some redemption.

          All clever stuff.

  3. King and ‘the problem’ close to a settlement on ‘the problem,s’ contract. Who gives a fuck??

    1. Well King obviously does ‘cos he needs to save as much money as possible. And Charlie Dimmock does because he probably has a lucrative BT Sport (?) contract on it’s way for an upcoming competition……now, think, what competition would that be ?

      SS

      1. SS,
I wonder if as you say that CD has maybe been asked too front Scottish Cup thing on BT Sport so to do so would need to be released from his gardening leave.More questions than answers probably.

      2. SS
That’s him agree to end his contract but on what terms we will never know although king has said he welcomes him back into directors Box???
        http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/13712387.Dave_King_reveals_Rangers_agree_pay_off_with_former_Ibrox_manager_Ally_McCoist/

          1. Here is more video of king so talking plenty today

            http://sport.stv.tv/video/4475567020001/

            1. Chas

Glib & Shameless only has limited time in the UK so expect lots of shit banged out in a very short time….I wont watch and wont listen to anything he says so can’t comment on the content… but the authorities here are still very interested in him and as a tax exile, fraudster… he is limited for time here…. don’t let the bluster fool you…. he is a crook and a liar and still has a rap sheet longer than your arm.

So the ‘transparency, promised by our incumbent board doesn’t apply in the case of Charlie Dimmock….hmmm or anything else for that matter….. we have a RIGHT to know what his pay off was as those co-investors will be footing the fuckin bill.

Congratulations to Her Majesty on achieving a land mark perhaps never to be challenged, for a girl not born to reign she has done a wonderful job…. and so say all of us.

              GSTQ

              1. Gordo RFC
Your spot on about the liar and he’s now got another 15 min video up on Gers website or via Youtube. He’s so smarmy that you feel like boaking and all the time with me is liar liar goes through my head.I’ve dealt with plenty liars in my time and I think he’s now even believing himself in what he says.Thing is he forgets what he’s said and at times he contradicts himself in what he’s said a couple of minutes before hand.

  4. Interesting take on Craig Whtye and begs the question: Can such a man actually be a victim?

  5. WWH Roosevelt wrote this about you”A MAN WHO IS GOOD ENOUGH TO SHED HIS BLOOD FOR HIS COUNTRY IS GOOD ENOUGH TO BE GIVEN A FAIR DEAL AFTERWARDS.”

Its on my favourite charity site help for hero’s, get well soon.

Kenny as usual a fabulously frank and honest appraisal of where you are on this journey. Well Said.
Bill i occasionally post here and appreciate being tolerated as a Celtic man, i remember a long time ago either you or one of your esteemed posters quoting ” A divided house shall not stand” and nothing has changed in this time.Rangers stll need that unifying figurehead who can pull the most fractured support in Scotland back together. Who that is, i haven’t a clue.

It amazes me that 4 years later Ibrox can still get full house’s and the fans are to be commended for this, but with this latest threat how long can that continue? To a layman like me the remafications of all this look terrible and do not bode well for the future.

I look forward to my team jousting with Rangers next year and would thank you all for what in my opinion is the most balanced Rangers site out there.

    1. Gary ..

You’re a gentleman, thanks for that, mate. Much appreciated.

    2. Gwared as usual my respect for you is massive, even although you are a supporter of the “others” lol you are a fair minded and genuine football fan. I wish you all the best “you only not your team hahaha” I would love if we all had your tolerance and sense, Thanks mate 🙂

      WWH INVICTA.

I commend you for the HFH support its worthy of commendation 🙂 This member of the 1st Battalion Royal Highland Fusiliers (now called 2 Scots) appreciates it.

    3. Good stuff Gwared.
      A touch of class.

    4. Hi Guys. This is not a reply to Kenny’s post.

I was at the game yesterday ‘ thanks to a friend giving me his season ticket in the Copland front. (my seat was in the Copland rear, a better view), From where I was sitting, I don’t think i will see a better performance from Rangers this season. The fist goal was well worked out, as were the restTheir movement off the ball, chasing down when they lost possession, was joy to watch.

At one point in the game a R , Rovers player was getting treatment, almost all of the Rangers players ran to MW to take a drink and also take instructions from him, it shows the way he has them all working as a unit.

After Rangers got their first penalty i said to the gentleman sitting next to me, we will get a lot of penalties this year the way we are playing, fast football in the box, I never got the words out my mouth when we got our second penalty.

The young guys on loan from Spurs and Arsenal are amazing to watch, but so are Halliday , Holt, Tavernier, the whole team yesterday was fantastic.well done guys.

      1. A joy to behold but we should have been building such a team since 2012

        1. Agreed Merlin…. we have wasted something we can never recoup and that is TIME…. money comes and goes but you can not replace time…. the years we wasted under The Gardening Squad are lost and gone forever…. what a shame W&W couldn’t have been in place 3 seasons ago… with a REAL budget to work with, not the imaginary one we seem to have now….. how different things could be… sadly we have a habit of doing the right things at the wrong times…. and vice-versa.

The football on the field is making up for the crap going on all around it…. just remember the shit is still there and there are some huge hurdles ahead in the owning, managing and running of the non footballing side. Its great we are getting back to talking football…. its what we do best …but times have taught us to be wary be very wary and be on our guard.

Our play is so easy on the eye and I agree with zander…with runners from midfield flooding the box defenders will have a very hard time stopping them fairly so we will pick up a lot of penalties. I only hope we are not too lightweight when it comes to playing a more aggressive stronger side like we will be up against in the cups, starting with St J…..my hope is fast attacking football will win the day but we all know sometimes strength prevails which is why I wish we had an ‘enforcer’ in the middle of the park….. hopefully football will win 🙂

In light of last weeks goings on it should be a VERY stark warning to our fans NOT to take at face value what those running our club say… oh wait a minute… they are saying fuck all ….and that’s sometimes worse. Why I wonder are these people not using it to score points at every turn? I have never trusted and never will trust anything ‘Glib & Shameless’ says …and so far my presumptions on saying and doing seem to be spot on…. we are a football club and the football is great to watch but we are also a business and that side of things is exceedingly worrying with no clear idea where our future funding is going to come from…. so enjoy the football, its been years since we have been so pleasing to watch…. but do NOT take your eye off the running of the club…… again!!!!

        2. Bill,
I totally agree with you there and our youngsters never got a chance even when they were good enough.Typical example is Barry McKay sent out on loan and look at how he’s playing now and should have been doing it for Rangers long before now.

  6. Good stuff Ninjaman. Anyone gleefully celebrating the fact you, myself or anyone else on RSL got it wrong regarding Charles Green, should have a good look at themselves.
Time to stop all this my dad is bigger than yours nonsense and stop working against our common cause.
    WATP

    1. Wally great comments but i think at least 75% of this site need to hear ninjaman and hear him loud,,,including bill!! (We know) as regards marg and blue etc,,,cheap shots like that do not help matters bill!!
I for one want a united support once more but hey all and i mean all lets drop the baggage from our recent past and all live happily ever after PLEASE

      1. Jasyboy ..

You say 75% of the contributors on this site need to hear NinjaMan, have you been on RM or other sites lately?

To come on and have a go at Bill for having a cheap shot when it was nothing of the sort is .. well, it’s a cheap shot, mate.

75% of the entire support needs to stop fighting amongst itself, a harsh comment from you to both Bill and this site too.

Irony, mate … Keep coming in and posting, you’ll see there’s hundreds of fantastic bears on this site.
        Cheers , Ninja

        1. Ninja you are correct i fell onto the site through fb and i am new but all i see is derogatory comments from at least 75% of the comments! ,now yes my arithmetic maybe slightly out due to my years but most i read is a willingness for the current board to fail!,
And regards bills comment it was cheap!! He makes a comment without providing proof or anything else but to annoy so in my mind it was cheap,i do notice he never answered the person who wrote “please tell”

          1. Bill’s comment was not a cheap shot, you’re point scoring.

If you honestly think that the RSL wants this board to fail then you’re wrong, that’s a ridiculous statement.

I clocked the name and as you say, your dad was blacklisted for the abuse he threw at Bill, continually.

            Not happening, ok mate?

            1. Think the ninja man needs specs savers if he thinks most of the comments in here are not derogatory towards the current board,
And yes sir ninja man one mans ramblings are taken as anothers “abuse” to quote you! ,now point scoring was not my statement ninja man bill was point scoring if you care to revisit the comments

          2. Jasyboy,
Nobody on RSL has a willingness to see the current board fail, or to see any part of Rangers to fail in any way. What you get on here are people’s opinions on all things Rangers, some agree, others don’t.
I popped into the Rangers shop prior to the RR game and was delighted to see Rangers fans in their thousands buying official Rangers merchandise, as opposed to the anti-Rangers fans who call for boycotts and peddle their’ lion brand shite’.
Free thinkers post on this site, as well as guys with thick skin and a sense of humour. Continue to join in Jasyboy 🇬🇧

            1. So anyone who buys the “shite your words not mine !! Are not free thinkers?,,,,is your abuse of people with different views to you and your name calling not contrary to what ninjaman is trying to get across??doh!!

              1. I didn’t say those that peddled their ‘lion brand’ were not free thinkers, I said they were anti- Rangers. Sorry to see you have been barred from posting by the moderators of the site. Maybe it’s a good thing though, as it appears you don’t think free enough, your skin isn’t thick enough, and you’ve had a humour bypass. Beware what temperature you wash that shite top at by the way.🇬🇧

            2. Just for your knowledge i am currently serving!

            3. Jasyboy, I am not as proper as my good Brothers Bill & Ninjaman. so I say “are you for fucking real” ??? If you post shit like that do it elsewhere not on this fine Blog. I respect my fair minded Celtic friend Gwared, but you are nothing more than another clown whose only vocabulary consists of “newco, sevco, deadco etc ?? so dae wan we dont need your type on here !! Hmmmmm maybe we do need you on here to prove that there is still bigoted, obsessed cretins out there 😦 Fookin Moron.

              4. WWH,
Spot on with that answer too Jasyboy and he certainly deserved it too as this Blog is the only one I really bother about now as so much rubbish spouted elsewhere.I trust what I read in here and idiots like him we all can certainly do without

              5. Jasyboy, you are not a very proffesional Soldier you should know better than putting your service number and details out in public like that (crazy) I am a veteran I no longer serve part of my number is 2449…. if you check you will see that number was issued in the late 70s. what was my job ?? Infantry and I did 3 tours of Northern Ireland for a start the rest I wont bore you with for now as I am not on here to swap war stories lol. Bill can confirm from my facebook and photo’s and friends that I am still to this day respected and well liked by my auld muckers from my Regiment Now go away and insult someone who is interested.

Bill and all Loyal Brothers, thanks you all for your loyalty and support. 🙂

  7. Rangers one step closer to re-listing on AIM…..

Anyone care to guess why 2+2= 5 and we should rejoice?

    1. Gordo

They are a mid tier Scottish CA practice with only one full service operation in Glasgow. If the author of this piece had paid any attention, he would have realised that they were formed from a collaboration of sole trader operations in Bearsden and Paisley. They are aspiring to float on AIM to provide golden parachutes to their founding partners. They are clearly a step down from Deloitte and as I have repeatedly pointed out Peterhouse/JP Jenkins have been in place for 5 months and have yet to propose an ISDX listing.

The Ibrox Noise should leave the King cheer-leading to professionals like Chris Jack who has managed to link the current endeavours of W&W to our nine in a row achievements. This boy has a great future ahead of him at Ibrox should we decide that we can no longer afford to spend seven figures with Level 5.

      1. They are, for some reason, the Daily Record’s favourite CAs.. I guess that’s what matters!

  8. I’m sure we all recall Paul Murray’s seven year plan to Scottish pre-eminence and Champions League participation. It’s important to note that the criminal proceedings will not reach the committal stage for a minimum of eighteen months, assuming of course that all defendants plead not guilty. If a case is proven that trading assets were fraudulently acquired, we will be in 2018. BDO would then be obliged to pursue the assets for its biggest creditor, HMRC, and there would be little doubt that they would proceed to stake their claim at the Court of Session.

So in the short term, there is nothing to worry about except funding the deficit. The game changing problems will come further down the track.

    1. JJ

In the short term nothing to worry about!!! -except funding the deficit !!!!

ST Sales and other income will not be enough- we will continue to lose money and how long can that be sustained?

Given all the circumstances who in their right mind is going to put money in to sustain us?

Ashley has lent us money before so just maybe ???

We remain very much in limbo with no idea what the future holds

Would be great just to watch the fitba but most on this site have enquiring minds-which means worry

      1. Jim monies will double immediately in the spl compared to now,,,so if the bills slightly increase next year then with the increased income the spl, corporate, season book increase, possible europe,,advertising increase…….do you see what im getting at jim we will be fine

        1. Can’t see how the income will double

          Fan base can’t increase

          TV monies worth v little

Income thru exposure not going to be much better than now

Me done sums and can’t see how we can even break even

          1. Jim with all due respect,,,,,ive re read my comment many times just to be sure and i cant see were i said the crowd would increase!,,,
Nor did i mention tv monies!!
Now i maybe wrong but did you tactically leave out my mention of season book increases!!?
            Europe,spl monies,increased corporate monies??.

            1. Jasy boy : We Need to reach those pinnacles first and saying all that and you may think me one of the 75% but we will get nowhere unless a certain man stumps up his promised cash. we have went from a promised £30 million steadily downward and right now he has not even matched season book sales after tax circa £6 million and counting from fans = hole of the donut from King.

You see at the end of the day you may think me and others criticising the board for not investing as us wanting them to fail, were as most if not all just want them to keep there promise’s on investment , transparency , NOMAD and now ISDX etc etc , all in which they are failing . We would like for the fans groups that promised the same scrutiny of this board as they had done the last boards which were hounded out in the most disgraceful manner , with complaints about to many loans and no transparency etc etc to keep that promises ! and recognise the irony !

Is all of the above to much to ask ?

You see right now you could for one game at Ibrox by one ticket a programme and your rising star ticket and you will have invested directly more into Rangers than Dave King, That is just a simple fact, we have a man who until he invests heavily has lied to all of us and the only bit of of good fortune he has had that the previous boards didn’t was no Ally McCoist !

              1. Ala parker ninjamans post is all about the support letting bygones be bygones !! Every human makes mistakes!!,,,but theres a hardcore of at least 75% of posters on here wont let it go that was my point ,,,and if you disagree read the posts

              2. Jasyboy: You obviously miss my point ! I doubt you differentiate between those that may just dislike King and those who just feel this board has failed and broken promises , to those that may not want a convicted criminal at our head !

Those that just dislike King also have a right to that view , then there is those that feel having a Rangers Chairman who is a convicted criminal is not the proper way forward and suitable for a great institution such as Glasgow Rangers.

Others accept were we are is were we are , but that does not stop us being critical of a board who have lied and done no worse than previous boards in respect of running on loans etc , except loans seem fine now ! Hypocritical ! Yes , both from the board and certain fan groups , this group could be won over if promises on Investment , transparency, ISDX listing , Ibrox repairs etc all come to fruition.

Do you feel we should not criticise them for the glaring failures and broken promises ? Or as I said before , right now you could for one game at Ibrox by one ticket a programme and your rising star ticket and you will have invested directly more into Rangers than Dave King, Is this fair and is this not failure of his promises considering every TV interview had his investment as being needed immediately ?

I feel you need to know the difference between rightful criticism as this board deserve and hate for King and even those who may feel a criminal as a Chairman for our great club is not the way to go ! I personally feel the vast majority of my fellow posters are rightly critical and your 75% is maybe less than 5% , but like Mr King I can’t do figures lol

  9. Ninjaman

My thanks to you for yet another insightful comment. I can find no fault in those who supported Charles Green and Sandy Easdale. Brian Kennedy, Douglas Park and Paul Murray (The Blue Knights) evidently took issue with the former as their rival bid was not accepted by D&P. Many have forgotten that D&P had accrued £3.5m from Rangers’ debtors, which was available to all bidders. Charles Green only had to raise £2m.

From a Blue Knights perspective, only Brian Kennedy could invest. He has put together two bids for control. He has to date shown no desire to be a non executive director. The problem for any investor is Dave King. Anyone who has ever had the misfortune of investing in any of his ventures has lost out. Taylor, Park & Letham are his latest victims. They just don’t know it yet. There will be no more investment from King whatsoever. His plan was to de-list, threaten the SFA that he would not invest in Rangers if they did not publicly back him, and avoid scrutiny by any adviser to any exchange. By doing this and engaging in a formality at The Court of Session, he is now Chairman. This is all he wanted and he managed to achieve it by employing Level 5 to spin forty-one criminal convictions as a favourable result, and then bill us for this positive PR. He almost certainly borrowed to buy his shareholding.

Peterhouse/JP Jenkins are motivated by the arrangement and annual fees they would earn if RIFC were listed on ISDX. The shyster board were being disingenuous when they recently claimed that Peterhouse had been engaged. Peterhouse/JP Jenkins have been engaged since de-listing. They have had five months to satisfy the requirements of ISDX and they have failed to do so.

There was an EGM in June that embarrassed the current board. Their inability to pay off the £5m owned to Sports Direct Retail Ltd has been spun as being not in their interests. However, this is a red flag to prospective investors.

The fact of the matter is that this board are operating a deficit of £10.5m and if this cannot be raised by us, King’s co-investors, the austerity coming our way in January will really bite.

There are many who believe that the arrest of Charles Green and others is of no relevance to RIFC. However the trading assets acquired by Charles Green, which are secured by Sports Direct (excluding Ibrox) are now the subject of an organised crime inquiry by Police Scotland. So could someone please inform me who, other than King proxies RST and Rangers First, would invest in a company whose assets are alleged to have been acquired fraudulently and are currently secured by a £5m warranty?

The most skilled financial advisers could not issue a prospectus to pitch equity in the present circumstances. Peterhouse/Jenkins will now ice any plans they may have had to list RIFC.

The RST and Rangers First were both initially established to safeguard our club from predators, but by throwing their votes behind King’s underfunded coup d’etat they have actually endangered our club. From my perspective their current focus is representation on the board. I would not be surprised if the shyster board approached the RST for a crisis loan.

I disagree with you Ninjaman that the current board knew that Charles Green would be arrested. Charles Green had no idea that this would transpire as he attended a race meeting at Chepstow where one of his horses, I believe it’s called Ibrox, was running. He was promptly arrested and taken to Livingstone police station.

At this point they will be tight-lipped on this matter. It is subjudice, and as you know reporting restrictions are in place.

  10. Fantastic post once again Kenny like your good self I think worrying just about the team is a long way off. But as you say strong leadership from the board is required. To put this bears and thousands of others minds a rest wee live in hope

  11. Although in the main I agree with the sentiments of Ninjaman, I do not agree with his gut instinct that the club has little to worry about re the current shenigans and ownership of the assets.
For instance RFC 2012 is in the process of liquidation and this process resulted in the shedding of most of the clubs significant debt under the SDM and CW years. The phoenix company/ies of 2012 began life afresh with no or little debt but with the assets of the club.
The simplified assets included Ibrox, Murray Park, Albion CP, playing assets (which may or may not have been financial assets), cash in the bank, all plant and machinery, intellectual property, goodwill, and various SFA memberships.
    Bought for a reported £5.5 million…
The fixed assets alone had previously been valued at in excess of £100 million (it is debatable whether this valuation is or is not accurate but I think it probably provides a ball park figure).
The question is clearly how can assets worth approx. £100 million be bought so cheaply at £5.5million? And if serious crimes were committed, what are the consequences for the club given the various duties of liquidators?
The above is a matter of public record therefore the above is compliant with the Contempt of Court Act.

    1. I think if your nightmare arrived it would allow old rangers coy to go after everyone ,,,,hbos, spl, sfa,,white green, ashley ,,duff phelps ,,,collier bristow,,,inland revenue,,,,big tax case blogger,,bbc,,,,etc etc etc etc…..they all had a part to play in the corruption to get rangers down..

    1. I picked up on a tweet by Gordon Fraser @WillsandBells who was on a train to London Victoria. He produced a photograph of Derek Llambias who was sitting in an adjacent chair. Now he could have subsequently taken a cab to Paddington for the Heathrow Express or made his way to Eustron for the train. It’s highly unlikely that he would choose London Victoria as a conduit to Gatwick, Luton, Stansted or London City Airport. So the idea of him heading to Glasgow at Mike Ashley’s behest does not stand up to scrutiny. I would suggest that on the next occasion you want to base a spurious theory on a photograph, a good working knowledge of the South East transport links might help.

      1. Doesn’t the Gatwick express leave from Victoria? Years since I lived in London so I may be mistaken.

        1. Thanks Phil

          1. No problem Chris.

            1. Now THAT is an insult!

              1. Hahaha!!! I seen this earlier and waited for you to see it!!!

        2. Yes it does, but it still does not support a theory that Mr Llambias is on his way to Glasgow to, in some way, seek restitution for the Sports Direct Retail loan, I have looked at every possible ramification of the recent news, but calling in the debt is the least likely. It’s bad news but it’s not a crisis.

It’s not in Mike Ashley’s interests to call in the receivers. The shyster board know this and have no plans to repay their loan. However, everyone can envisage a long term scenario where the assets could revert to BDO and SD’s current grip on most of our assets would be at risk. But prior to this there has to be a successful prosecution that clearly and unequivocally proves a fraudulent conspiracy to acquire the assets.

Friends accuse me of being too enthusiastic about the new team, but as I watch CFC sell their best players season after season there will soon come a time where they have an inferior squad to that at Auchenhowie. I sat down with my Swedish meatballs and Rekordelig to watch the game in Malmo and came to the conclusion that if CFC could not beat an average team from Scandinavia, they would be little threat to Rangers when we are promoted next season. Aberdeen will be difficult. I continue to be impressed by Hearts. But that’s it. Only three credible rivals in Scotland between Rangers and silverware, when only a few months ago we were looking into the abyss from a football perspective.

Our biggest threats are our corporate governance, or lack thereof. We have a criminal chairman who is absent. We have a vice chairman who lost out to Charles Green and has been bitter about it ever since. The shyster board won’t make any comment but would it be too much of a reach to suggest that our vice chairman will be quietly pleased by the arrests of our former office holders? His bid with the Blue Knights suddenly has more kudos.

If we set aside our career criminal chairman, and disregard the failed entrepreneurship of our vice chairman, we are left with Taylor, Park & Letham. These are the real deal. All three will know that the austerity by stealth won’t balance the books this season. As I have been at pains to point out, our newly appointed auditors will, as has become the norm, assign an unrealistic value to the assets and by doing so assert that we are not trading whilst insolvent. Which in layman’s terms means that if we sold the assets we would be able to meet our debt obligations.

Taylor, Park & Letham, who without a shadow of a doubt are our bankers of last resort, were hoping that we, their co-investors, would pay for the deficit this season. They were hoping that the RST and Rangers First would continue to use the money entrusted to them by Rangers supporters club treasurers to buy shares. As Ninjaman clearly pointed out in his blog, this won’t be enough.

In my opinion, Taylor and Park will be compelled to provide more loans. King has evidently convinced them that as soon as he can cash in on his latest boiler room scam in South Africa, he will repay them for buying his shares and meet them half way on the cost of the deficit.

Mr Warburton could not believe his luck when he first entered the Auchenhowie Sports Academy. SDM managed to convince Camelot, Sports Scotland and the Bank of Rangers to build the best facilities north of Carrington. The capital expenditure was the easy part. The operational expenditure is the problem.

George Taylor and Douglas Park are aware of the problem of having Champions League facilities with a Scottish Championship income. Soft loans will be required for two seasons as we aspire to be a solid second to CFC and UEFA participation in 2017/2018. I have been challenged on my next point but I believe that I am correct. The SFA stated in 2012 that we would be precluded from UEFA participation as we did not have three years of accounts. So as soon as our new auditors sign ofTo do so we must either win the Scottish Cup, or be runners-up to the Scottish Premiership champions. ICT managed this last year, albeit with some of the most controversial and amusing decisions that I have ever encountered. This has to be our target this season. Promotion is pushing against an open door. There is a distinct possibility that we will have another season of remaining unbeaten in the league.
Europe next season would be the catalyst for the soft loans that we urgently require. Can anyone envisage George Taylor or Douglas Park not being prepared to pony up to watch Rangers in Europe next season?

          1. JJ …

            “The Bank of Rangers” 😭😭

          2. Baffles me how an open ended loan can be called in ??now im not an expert but ashley inputted no repayment date !!

  12. Ninjaman,
Another great post and always enjoy what you write.Personally I think a lot of the division between fans these days is caused by likes of Facebook/Twitter where all the keyboard warriors hide.Years ago it was just what was in papers and that was discussed usually in the pub or between ourself and other fans. I hope the warning that was posted online yesterday makes folk take head and obey it because as it stated any comments about the ongoing case could result in a Contempt of court case.

    http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/13645273.Crown_Office_makes_Twitter_warning_over_comments_on_Rangers_court_case/

    1. Think you will find chas that ninjaman was not duped!! By fb or tweets etc etc etc he was duped by chas with the big yorkshire hands that said he was here to fill them

      1. Tread carefully with the content of your posts, there’s a Contempt of Court warning, or they won’t pass moderation.

        1. No contempt there ninja im only repeating the words of the yorkshire man with the big hands

  13. Unfortunately Ninjaman you have summed up the whole rotten mess we find ourselves in my Brother, what can we do about it ?? Divided = fook all of any real significance, united = hope, strength and even although our differing opinions and grievances wont be agreed upon or fully resolved its a start. I think a lot of people are so set in mindsets and deeply immersed and even consumed by the past few years and set up rival camps in a power battle that has actually has done the club more damage than Ra cellic ever could on or off the pitch, hmmmmmm have the dividers and conquerors achieved their goals ??? The thing that has been lost most during these turbulent times is”RANGERS” that is what it should only be about, otherwise why are we here ?? No Rangers = No us, it has become about individuals ego’s, media attention, the setting up of way to many rival groups on facebook etc ffs I have lost count there is so many, so the Rangers support has become fragmented and bitter. I have one simple request, can we (all of us from wherever you are) get this back to what is more important than squabbles and sniping “THE RANGERS” Don’t worry friends as I will go take my meds now as I have way to much hope that it in a wild dream some barriers could come down and no scowls come from behind them.

    Ephesians 4:32

Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

    WWH. UNITY IS POWER. INVICTA.

    1. So Brothers is it really all about “The Rangers” like people brag on social media ?? Only each individual can make that choice. From the late 60s I had two great loves in my life Rangers and our amazing support and the period for me that I remember being my most fervent and passionate was the 70s I was young and really felt like I belonged to something special, the fans where one big passionate mass working as one solid unit in the backing of OUR TEAM, even going home after the match the songs still where going round in round in my head and when I went to bed I relived the whole game, not just the football on the pitch but the fans in the stands I always had a massive smile and feeling of contentment whilst drifting off to sleep. People are quick to use Bill Struth’s name in the current unrest but I have a feeling if he was around today he would not like what he would see. So as I have asked Is it really all about the “Rangers” or just about yourself ?? If it is about the “Rangers” lets build on Kenny’s plea for moves towards reconciliation or we can all stay in our entrenched dugouts with a under siege mentality fighting on the glorious (lol joke) battlefield of the internet and MSN, If you stood out of the trench and looked across the battlefield you will see the “enemy” is standing wearing the same colours as your side and fighting under the same flags, the biggest casualty of this war is “Rangers” who both sides professed to love unconditionally.

      WWH. INVICTA.

      1. It is about The Rangers or a mutated Rangers

        1. Thanks Bill, the day it fully stops being all about the Rangers an “institution” and more than just a football club will be the sad day they may no be there longer there to squabble over. 1872 ~ ????.

Thank you Vamper you are a guid yin Bro, I will be ok I have been fighting this on and off for 30yr now so I know what goes on when it does come and I know I need medical help when it does hit me nothing beats experience lol. My wife is also a major help as she can spot the signs relatively early and makes me seek help as I don’t notice the changes in me as life seems the same as always at the start of it, in the early days I had it almost permanently and got really ill at times. Time does not heal all wounds (especially the ones that are not visible) But with the right support it can be caught and and dealt with, time just gives you experience enough to deal with it and accepting it although it is no longer there permanent you can adjust to live with it.

God heals – and He is the great physician and He can heal anyone of any affliction, whether it be physical, mental, emotional, or financial. There are going to be times in your life when you’ll need God to heal you or a loved one, so don’t be afraid to pray to God for the healing that you need.

And little do most people know, but reading the BIble can heal you, too. Maybe the Bible isn’t magical, but it will put you in the proper state of mind to be healed. When you open your mind to positive healing, the most amazing things can happen to you if you have Faith.

Pray to Jesus for a healing because He hears you.

              2. Wullie ..

Take care of yourself my old friend, you have friends on here and always will have. May your road to recovery be a short one WWH. Always here for you

                Kenny S

            2. WWH,
Best wishes from me too you and hopefully things will get better now your getting help you need.I always enjoy your posts and don’t worry if at times things don’t seem to make sense because a lot of mine are terrible but I always blame my age.

            3. Great to hear of your problems wullie my father suffers the same and the best thing he got from his proffessional help was to admit it and drop the guilt,
Sadly he rambled on here and got blacklisted on here but he holds no grudges and soldiers on ,so chin up wullie and stand proud mate we are all 100% proud of your service for us mate

              1. Jasyboy, I have no guilt as I was doing my job that the Queen paid me for, I am sorry to hear your dad has to go through this as it is not nice. I do think though that you are being patronising with your post and it contains sarcasm which demeans Service to our Great Country, I have lost good friends serving our Country and believe me we where RHF so therefore both RC and Protestant recruits, Rangers and cellic fans but to be honest everyone bled the same and got buried the same. I pray for your dad and have lots of sympathy for him and your family as it is not just the individual who suffers but also those who are closest to them. Please come on here with a better attitude and you never know you might be taken seriously and get respect.

      2. W.W.H ,

Reading that my bro I felt like I was standing beside you on the terraces ,lovely comment .memories are the one thing that cannot be robbed from us .

        SO MOTE IT BE .!!!!!!!!!!!

        1. I have no doubt whatsoever we attended those terraces at Ibrox on many many occasions at the same games over the years Vamper my friend and Brother, as we are Old School like most bears on here we knew what it was like to be part of something special and unique. I sometimes think fans these days use the words “Rangers Family” to lightly/easy considering the current divides within the support, but us oldies know what it was really like to be part of a genuine “Rangers Family” Glory days indeed and I am glad I have the memories 🙂 I remember at games against Ra Cellic as the teams came out and the support roared from the terraces as one, i remember on several occasions you would go deaf for a wee bit ears ringing from the shear passion and raw energy for the love of each other and the team.

          1. Sad thing is many who decry us old schoolers never knew what that was like The togetherness, the brotherhood, the passion, the privilege and pride.

            1. I,d rather be with the old schoolers on here any day than the so called fans that were outside the courtrooms, was bawface leading the chorous.
Hope you are keeping well WWH

              1. Zandermac1, I am feeling your passion and loyalty towards our beloved club 🙂 All power to you Bro and keep the faith WATP.

                WWH. INVICTA.

  14. I backed Green as well and if it wasn’t for him would not be watching our great club. However what’s gone on with him and others got to sorted. If it means Jail so be it. On king done great job getting club back on track but still no money. Once again fans putting the money in which must happen but again nothing from King. Hope he is keeping it for next year to buy couple top players to take the next step.
On the board think they have got to take time to work all this out before they make a statement. up and onwards. WATP.

  15. And this would relieve fears in what way? Not that I know of many fans who are anything but over the moon at recent events.
Ninjaman was gracious in his original piece admitting he may have been wrong in the past and appealing for fan unity… I too have been unsure who to trust in all this, but the stopping of attacking fans with a differing opinion has got to be from all quarters.
I used to follow this blog and thought it was very sensible and well balanced, but I’m afraid that the constant attack on the new regime and the sniggering and sarcastic remarks on here when others have a different opinion have shown a high level of hypocrisy

    1. JP,

Is this comment a reply to your initial comment and it’s associated replies ?

      SS

      1. JP,

Regards the second part of your comment, you say that NinjaMan showed grace in his post and you admired and agreed for the call for unity amongst Rangers fans. However you then go on to discredit the RSL due to its ‘attack’ on the new regime and the ‘sniggering and sarcastic remarks’ from commenters.

So, what do we then have in your modus operandi for unity………an attack against a Rangers’ fan group through employment of emotional terms…….with no sight of rational thinking.
        Unity, eh ?!
Sorry, mate, but you’re not showing up well here.

……and may i suggest that if you are demeaned by sniggering and sarcasm (from you’re own point of view) then you should ‘man up’ a little.

        SS

        1. And also bear in mind that not all posters in this section are RSL members

          1. Point taken, Bill.

    2. Jay,
You say you too were unsure who to trust, in other words transparency would be of help to you. You also mention ” constant attack” on new regime from this blog. No, just a demand for transparency and answers to promised investment.
I learnt very early in life to trust nobody so I suggest if I may you should also take that on board, I would also suggest you follow RSL informative intelligent posters who will dig for answers in an articulated manner. Ps Better attacking in an articulated manner than attacking elderly staff on Rangers premises, I’m sure that’s one point we’ll agree on.

    3. When posters start wishing people would die and get knocked down by cars etc, we will know we have sunk to the level of other so-called Rangers sites

  16. Ninjaman,
This week 4 men have been charged with the fraudulent acquisition of Rangers assets in 2012.
Nov.2014 4 men were charged with the fraudulent acquisition of Rangers assets in 2011.
To date nobody has been found guilty of any charges concerning the acquisition of Rangers assets.
This time next year the sentence above will still be a fact.
Ninjaman, you say it’s hinted that ‘The Blue Knights ‘ consortium are going to provide some internal investment. I say, it’s about fuckn time the real Rangers men invested more than me and my wee pal Joe, and all the others who have tramped up and down the Copeland Road for years.

    1. Wouldn’t disagree with a word of that, Groovy.

  17. If the board have known, and there’s a good possibility that not only have they known, but they may have been helping police with there investigation, then they will not be able to comment on an ongoing criminal investigation. As you should well know!!

    1. You mean the current board wouldn’t even be able to say that they have been advised to not comment because they are, indeed, helping in the investigation ?

      SS

    2. Jay,
The board know hee-haw mate, they have been in control now for 6 months and say they still don’t know who their major co-investors are, e.g. Bluepitch and Margarita.

        1. pray tell

        2. Your comment kinda contradicts ninja mans call for togetherness does it not??,,”we know shshshsh”,,,quite pathetic bill

          1. When you can spot the irony in your own post you can talk to me about togetherness.
